Dear Airdrop Writer,

First of all - thank you so much for offering to write something for me! Second of all - I wrote this letter hoping to spark some ideas about what you might enjoy making for me, but fundamentally what I most want is for you to have fun creating something featuring characters I love, and if you do I’m sure I’ll love it ^_^

My FiaB and Yuletide letters have got a bit more waffling about some of my general favourite fic things, if you want to look at them. One thing I’d particularly love to receive for this exchange is Seasonal Fluff For My Faves, if you feel so inspired ^_^ (Yes, I know Airdrop doesn't reveal until mid-January, but didn't think to prompt for this for Yuletide and I'll still be in a Christmas mood until at least Candlemas 😂) I love Christmas, I love winter, I love fluff, I love these characters, and I’d love it if you could combine those things! My personal Christmas preferences lean towards the traditional English - I love the pagan roots, decorating with evergreens, ridiculous medieval foodstuffs, carol singing, wassailing, punch, mulled cider, yule log, ghost stories, the lot - but I also love how different places have very different traditions, and how people evolve traditions of their own, or adapt the traditions they were raised with, so please feel free to bring in / invent any Christmas / winter themes you think would be fun for the characters - or for that matter, show me how they reject those traditions, or how they feel about being unavoidably away from them (during the war, in countries with very different cultures / climates, etc). Or, if fluff isn’t your thing, then winter is a great time for temperature-related whump and h/c, and I’m a big fan of that too! Drop the characters in a snow-drift, have them share some body heat, have them struggling on through the snow because they’ve got a mission to complete - have some fun with some Christmas and winter tropes ^_^

By the way - most of this letter is couched in terms of writing / fic stuff, just because that’s what I’m most familiar with - but if you happen to be here to draw for me, or make a mixtape, or a mood board, or compose an album of folk music, then go, fly free, I can’t wait to see what you do! I hope you’ll still be able to find something in here that helps prompt your creativity.
